Please note that the Story of Majnun and Laylah mentioned in the piece of Poetry by Rumi was not only the Inspiration for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but also for Eric Clapton’s song “Laylah”.

Majnun Layla means ‘driven mad by Layla.’ This may also be taken to mean “Driven Mad by Darkness”.
